The project of ITC – ILO i UNI Europa Commerce is funded by the European Union and its development objective is to increase capacity of trade unions affiliated in UNI Europa and working in commerce sector to organise more members. The project also focuss on EU integration and the participation of trade unions in that process as well as on the implementation of Decent work agenda. The proejct intself consists of several seminars with the closing conference sheduled for December 2011 in Brussels.
Target group of the project is trade unions in commerce sector from Slovakia,Turkey,Malta, Croatia and Macedonia (EU Candidate Countries and EU new member states),a ffiliated to UNI.
Taking into account the importance of organising for trade union in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia,the project in its second stage included these two countries with the support of Fridrih Eberth Sthiftung (FES). Therefore on the third seminar in Ohrid,Macedonia Commerce Trade Unions from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina were invited. Seminar took place from 21-23 September and it focussed on organising members in multinational companies as well as social dialogue.
STBIH sent two representatives to this event presenting STBIH initiaties and organising work. This was also good opportunity to present EU Project Decent Work Balkan Network and its BH focuss on organising.
